Welcome to the website for my psychoanalytic practice.
I am a Candidate Psychoanalyst at the Lacanian School of Psychoanalysis in San Francisco and a licensed Research Psychoanalyst Student in California. I practice psychoanalysis in Olympia, Washington, working with patients living locally and remotely.
My practice is informed by years of personal analysis, clinical training, and ongoing theoretical study in the Lacanian tradition. I work with people seeking psychotherapy and psychoanalysis to address the roots of their symptoms and seek ways they can feel better by speaking about their experiences, desires, and challenges.
In addition to my psychoanalytic practice, I am an Associate Professor at Saint Martin's University, where I research psychoanalysis, AI, and robotics.
I practice Lacanian psychoanalysis, a modern form of the original talk therapy (i.e., psychotherapy) developed by Sigmund Freud. For those seeking mental health treatment, psychoanalysis offers an approach that emphasizes the uniqueness of each individual and the importance of language, desire, and the unconscious in shaping our experience of the world.
Psychoanalysis addresses a wide range of mental health challenges and life difficulties. Here are some of the most common symptoms and concerns that bring people to treatment:
Even if your concern isn't listed here, psychoanalysis offers a space to explore any mental health challenge or question about your life and experience.
